Food Exchange Locals Loyalty is operated by Food Exchange Restaurant and Bar at Novotel Christchurch Airport, 30 Durey Road, Christchurch Airport 8053, New Zealand.

2.1 The programme is open to individuals aged 18 years or over.

2.2 Joining is free and open to any individual who signs up. You do not need to live in Christchurch to join. By becoming a member, you become a Local of Food Exchange.

2.3 Participation is limited to one membership per person.

2.4 Membership is personal, non-transferable, and may only be used by the named member.

2.5 Food Exchange reserves the right to accept, decline, suspend, or cancel any membership at its discretion.

3.1 To join, guests must complete the online sign-up form and provide the requested information.

3.2 Members must provide accurate and current information and keep their contact details up to date.

3.3 Members must present their digital card or confirmation email at the time of purchase to receive benefits.

3.4 Membership remains active unless cancelled by the member or terminated by Food Exchange in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

Subject to these Terms and Conditions, active members are entitled to the following benefits at Food Exchange Restaurant and Bar at Novotel Christchurch Airport:

• 10% discount on food and beverage
• One complimentary drink with any food purchase on the member’s birthday
• Automatic entry into a monthly prize draw
• Automatic entry into an annual major prize draw

5.1 The 10% discount applies to eligible food and beverage purchases made at Food Exchange Restaurant and Bar only.

5.2 The discount is only available when the member presents their digital card or confirmation email at the time of purchase.

5.3 The discount is valid for the member and their dining group, up to a maximum group size of 8 people in a single transaction.

5.4 The discount cannot be combined with any other promotion, discount, voucher, package, set menu, special offer, or loyalty benefit unless otherwise stated by Food Exchange.

5.5 The discount cannot be split, transferred, or combined across multiple tables, bookings, or transactions in order to exceed the maximum group size of 8 people.

5.6 The discount is not redeemable for cash and cannot be exchanged for any other benefit.

5.7 The discount does not apply to:

• gift cards
• conference or event packages
• room service or in-room dining
• minibar purchases
• accommodation charges
• any other excluded items as determined by Food Exchange from time to time

6.1 Members are entitled to one complimentary drink on their birthday when purchasing a food item at Food Exchange Restaurant and Bar.

6.2 The birthday offer is valid on the member’s actual birthday only.

6.3 The complimentary drink is limited to one drink per member per year and must be redeemed in a single transaction.

6.4 The complimentary drink may be alcoholic or non-alcoholic, as determined by Food Exchange.

6.5 Alcoholic drinks will only be served to members aged 18 years or over and only in accordance with responsible service requirements. Valid identification may be requested.

6.6 Food Exchange reserves the right to refuse service of alcohol and to offer a non-alcoholic alternative where appropriate.

6.7 The birthday drink offer is not redeemable for cash, not transferable, and cannot be exchanged for any other item.

7.1 Each active member will automatically receive one entry per month into the monthly prize draw.

7.2 The monthly prize will be a voucher with a value of up to NZD $50.

7.3 The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.

7.4 The winner will be selected at random and contacted using the details provided at sign-up.

7.5 If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within a reasonable timeframe, Food Exchange reserves the right to redraw the prize.

7.6 Food Exchange’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

8.1 Each active member will automatically receive one entry into the annual major prize draw.

8.2 The annual major prize will be valued at up to NZD $500.

8.3 The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.

8.4 The winner will be selected at random and contacted using the details provided at sign-up.

8.5 If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within a reasonable timeframe, Food Exchange reserves the right to redraw the prize.

8.6 Food Exchange’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

9.1 By signing up to Food Exchange Locals Loyalty, members agree to receive promotional and marketing communications from Food Exchange Restaurant and Bar and Novotel Christchurch Airport.

9.2 These communications may include promotions, special offers, news, event updates, prize draw information, and other marketing communications.

9.3 Membership is conditional on the member agreeing to receive these promotional and marketing communications.

9.4 We may use your personal information, including your name, email address, and interactions with our website or services, to provide you with relevant marketing communications and personalised advertising.

9.5 This may include:

• sending you promotional emails and offers
• showing you relevant advertisements on third-party platforms

9.6 We may also share limited personal information, such as your email address, with trusted advertising partners including Meta and Google. This information is securely hashed before being shared and is used to:

• create custom audiences
• deliver more relevant advertisements to you
• measure the effectiveness of our advertising

9.7 These partners do not receive your information in a way that allows them to directly identify you, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

9.8 If a member unsubscribes from marketing emails, their membership in Food Exchange Locals Loyalty will automatically end and they will no longer be eligible for member benefits, discounts, or prize draws.

10.1 Personal information collected as part of the membership will be used for administering participation, providing benefits, conducting prize draws, and sending promotional and marketing communications.

10.2 By signing up, members consent to Food Exchange and Novotel Christchurch Airport collecting, storing, and using their personal information for these purposes.

10.3 Members may request access to or correction of their personal information by contacting the hotel directly.

10.4 Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy requirements and the hotel’s privacy policy.

11.1 Any misuse, including sharing, copying, altering, or misrepresenting a digital card or confirmation email, may result in immediate suspension or cancellation of membership.

11.2 Food Exchange reserves the right to refuse to apply any member benefit where it suspects fraud, misuse, or breach of these Terms and Conditions.

11.3 Food Exchange may suspend or terminate any membership at any time if these Terms and Conditions are breached.

12.1 Food Exchange reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel Food Exchange Locals Loyalty or these Terms and Conditions at any time.

12.2 Any changes will take effect once updated on the website, unless otherwise stated.

12.3 Food Exchange may change or withdraw any benefit, including discounts, birthday offers, or prize draw details, at its discretion.

13.1 All benefits are subject to availability.

13.2 Benefits are not redeemable for cash and cannot be transferred to another person.

13.3 Food Exchange is not liable for any loss, damage, or expense arising from participation or use of any benefit, except as required by law.

13.4 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
